DU CourseMedia™ is a web-based tool for organizing and delivering high quality images, audio recordings, and video clips. In addition to using their own images, audio recordings, and videos to create online galleries, instructors have access to DU CourseMedia’s™ extensive multimedia repository. DU CourseMedia™ galleries, which are similar to PowerPoint presentations, can also include text slides, online discussions, and self-exams.

What can faculty do with DU CourseMedia™?

  • Create high quality image, audio, and video presentations.
  • Use copyright-sensitive media in a fair-use setting.
  • Display video clips in a Blackboard course.
  • Upload personal images, audio recordings, and video clips into a gallery.
  • Import external video clips into a gallery from video-sharing services like YouTube and Google Video.
  • Use a standard computer microphone to add voice narration to a gallery item.
  • Create a gallery discussion board.
  • Share and explore other instructors’ galleries.

What is a gallery?

A gallery is a collection of images, audio and video clips, and text slides assembled by a course instructor. These galleries may be reused each term and may be shared with students to allow for 24/7 online access.
