Computer Innovations in Teaching Research Methods & Statistics Psychology

Abstract: We are constructing a web site for courses in research methods and statistics offered in psychology and other social science disciplines. The web site will have three components. First, the web site will present case materials for hands-on data analysis. Re-engineering the Mathematics and Computer Science Core Math and Computer Science

Abstract: Our work integrates the newly-implemented DU laptop technology initiative into the Core Program in a way that was not possible when computing, and the Core Program, were in their infancy. The redesigned program will reflect the changes over the last fifteen years in key areas: First, laptops didn't exist fifteen years ago and a 'portable' computer was one that could be lifted by two men; second, incoming DU students are more computer literate, a skill nearly unknown among students then.
