Teaching Consultations
Peer-Review of Teaching
The CTL is available to consult with faculty regarding general as well as specific teaching strategies and issues. The CTL can provide consultations on teaching questions or issues, facilitate and consult on video-taping or observation of classroom teaching, provide training sessions on peer review of classroom teaching and teaching materials, and assist with the development of a system of teaching partners who work together on their teaching through classroom visits and other activities.
Please review our Teaching Consultations guidelines and information.
For more information on these and related needs, please contact Julanna Gilbert.
Video Recording of Classroom Teaching
As a service to all DU faculty members, the Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL) can arrange to video record a class you are teaching for teaching improvement purposes. To start the process, please send the following information to Jeanie Tischler:
- Faculty Member Name:
- Class name:
- Classroom location:
- Date:
- Time:
- (For scheduling purposes it would be helpful to provide more than one date)
The CTL will arrange the video recording details, after which, a copy will be given to you. Julanna Gilbert and/or Bridget Arend from the CTL are available to provide confidential consultations. Please keep in mind that some time is needed to watch the video before a one-on-one review session can be scheduled.
Teaching Support
The CTL also supports faculty with general or specific questions about teaching and learning and related issues; from reviewing and providing advice on a specific assignment, to assisting with a literature review on a teaching topic or method. Contact Bridget Arend with your questions or issues and we will do our best to support your request.
